Toi Toi Genetics derived its name from Brent's grandfather who operated a pedigree Jersey dairy herd in the
Manawatu, New Zealand. Brent first registered pedigree's under the Toi Toi prefix in 1982. Brent has been involved in the dairy
industry since leaving school and has been lucky to have exhibited champions at the major shows in New Zealand. He has been
a senior judge of Holsteins, Ayrshires and Jerseys in New Zealand. We have two sons, Shane who milks 1,800 cows in the North
Island, NZ and Mathew, who is a successful motorbike mechanic in the Hawkes Bay, NZ.
We moved to the United Kingdom in late November 2015, deciding to seize the moment given to us by his employer at the
time. Since moving, we have continued our passion for pedigree dairy cattle, rearing and managing a very, very small but
demanding group of cattle, with genetics from leading families from all around the world.
We strive to promote great cows and their families and want to assist the youth of those breeds wherever possible.
Brent is currently a senior judge with the Brown Swiss and Ayrshires in the UK and recently had the privilege of judging the
On Farm Herd Competition for Holstein Sweden. He is also a Brown Swiss Councillor and Shropshire HYB Co-ordinator.
Our goal is to develop our cows to their full potential.
PS: Anne has become slightly obsessed with Brown Swiss and have taken over the barn.!!!!!!!!
